Take this with a grain of salt...
For a while now, I've been a part of a generation of immediacy: answers at your finger tips, escape from reality, a virtual world to get lost in, the quick fix. The answer is in your pocket. The world is at our fingertips. I first bought a smart phone in 2010. It's a force that is changing normative social influence in a short period of time. On one hand, there are infinite benefits to smart phones, tablets, the internet, apps., etc. I use this technology to connect with the world. To promote myself and my brand. It allows me to be self employed. I wouldn't have gotten to this point in my career without it. It's a game changer. On the other hand, it's an easy escape, like television on steroids, and you can take it with you! I recently went out to dinner and witnessed a family of three on their phones from when they sat down to when they left. Not sure what they were looking at or doing, but there was the sharing of a photo or video from time to time. Very few words were said. It was mind blowing. There needs to be a respectful relationship with the power that comes with technology. An ethical background needs to be established before a human is exposed to this world of unlimited possibilities. This is what I've been noticing. This is what's happening and what I've been thinking about. I was walking through a university hallway and one of the classes got out. Student after student filed passed with their heads down in their phones. Then, two women passed by. They were chatting about their day (breath of fresh air!). They were followed by another line of phone zombies. What you do with it and how you use it is what's important. Not gonna lie, I can easily lose a huge chunk of my day with my face in my phone. It's addicting. Limit yourself. That's what I've been doing.

I started working on the advanced book. The following are random illustrations of rings, optics, etc. I was able to invest in an I-Pad Pro and Apple Pen...really, really excited about what's in store.
